Wellbeing Award

Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Silver Award

In schools a lot of things get laminated and stuck on a wall. Often school values are one of these things. There is a great quote which said ‘Your school values should be lived, not laminated’ Added to this, in education, new initiatives and best practice ideas seem to come along at an ever-increasing rate.

Steve Jobs talks about saying no to hundreds of good ideas and focusing on the things which you believe are the most important. For our school, this will always be our school values of Care, Aspire and Achieve.

Care is our first and most important value and is always our priority. We delighted and very proud that Alexandra Park has been awarded the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Silver Award in recognition of our commitment to embracing a commitment to support our children’s and team’s mental health. Please take the time to follow the link below to read the report.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our team for their commitment to support their own, each others and the children’s mental health and say a special thank you to Mrs Millward who expertly leads on this area.
