Breakfast

At Alexandra Park from September 2026 we have partnered with the Department of Education to provide every child at our school from Reception to Year 6 with a free healthy and nutritious breakfast to support their learning and wellbeing throughout the morning.

Research shows that offering pupils in primary schools a free and nutritious meal before school can boost their reading, writing, and maths attainment by an average of two months’ additional progress in Key Stage 1.

We also run a Breakfast Club in the morning from 7.30am for children in Year 1 - Year 6 and 7.45am for children in Nursery and Reception, which provides children with a healthy breakfast and a calm and caring place to start the school day.
